What God is doing...
- We will be taking more kids from KY to camp this summer than ever before! More than a third of which are from new and developing areas from the last four years.
- We have launched two new WyldLife (Middle School) ministries this spring in Oldham County and Paducah.
- Big praise for having interviewed and identified Area Directors for our next two area starts!
Please pray...
- Please pray for our developing conversations in Eastern Kentucky. We have a small committee formed, have identified our Area Director for our start at Prestonsburg High School, and are just over 50% of the way funded. We are hopeful for an August start at this point and are SO excited for our first ministry in Eastern Kentucky.
- We now have a committee formed in Marshall County and have entered fundraising mode here. We also have a great candidate who we have interviewed to be our first ever Area Director in Marshall County. Please be praying for our fundraising efforts and for volunteer leaders to invest in kids alongside our staff. We are also hoping to start ministry with the upcoming school year in just a couple months!
- Please be praying for Young Life in Pulaski & Adair County. We are in very early conversations in Pulaski County with a few adults who are interested in exploring the idea of starting Young Life in their town. We have an area interest meeting scheduled for the end of July. In Adair County we have a few incoming Freshmen at Lindsey Wilson who want to be the catalyst for starting Young Life.
- Pray for all things summer camp. We have about 900 students attending a camp and have already had a few of our areas to camp. Pray for safety, clear gospel proclamation, and fertile soil as the Gospel is sowed. Our leaders spend countless hours pursuing kids, winning their friendship, and earning the right to be heard, with the hope to one day have the opportunity to share the greatest news they will ever hear. Camp is not the only place where we do this, but it is a remarkable tool! Pray for last minute sign ups, for our staff and leaders as they prepare for camp, and for the continued follow up with kids as they return home.
