What God is doing...
- DBC hosted its second annual conference at the end of June, instructing and inspiring participants to both live and counsel for the glory of God.
- DBC’s twelve certified counselors lovingly provided counseling for over 227 individuals and couples. This includes many people who live where they have no access to worship in their language. It also includes unbelievers who came to DBC for biblical counseling because it is the only counseling they can get in their language. Some of those counselees have come to Christ and been discipled through DBC.
- Thirty-eight Deaf people are currently receiving training to become certified.
- DBC’s certified counselors are getting advanced training so they can better serve those who are struggling with addictions and serious mental disorders.

- DBC continues to pray and work toward raising enough money to hire a full-time director. At the end of 2023, God provided $17,946.30 toward that fund. In 2024, as of this writing, God has provided $44,692.88. So, this fund currently stands at $62,639.18. Because there are far fewer Deaf Christians than hearing Christians and far less money in the Deaf world than in the hearing world, most of this money has come from hearing Christians giving one-time gifts, in response to an appeal letter that was sent to over 400 people. DBC counselors are also working on videos to post on social media, requesting donations for Giving Tuesday. Please pray with us for a generous response to these appeals.
