Please pray for our developing conversations in Eastern Kentucky. We have had two community interest meetings in the Prestonsburg/Paintsville area and have generated enough interest to begin forming the committee. We will be starting to build our plan and move toward community engagement, fundraising, and volunteer leader recruitment. Our prayer is for a fall ministry start!

We have also had a couple of community interest meetings in Marshall County and are now focusing our attention on building the local committee. Please be in prayer for the Lord to raise up adults to step onto the committee. A group of committed adults in the community is paramount to a Young Life area.

Please continue to be praying for an Area Director for our Hardin County start – we have been searching for the right person for 10 months at this point.

Please be in prayer for our ministry in Madison County as we walk through an area transition here. We are entering into year three of ministry in Madison County and have some incredible things happening with kids in the community, but our Area Director has just transitioned off staff. Please be praying as we seek to strengthen and grow the committee & funding, as well as discernment toward the plan and timeline moving forward.

Please be praying for all of our current Young Life areas across Kentucky as the school year starts to wind down. Pray for our staff and volunteer leaders to “finish” well as they continue to faithfully invest and show up in the world of kids. Please pray favor in continuing to grow our summer camp trips as staff and leaders continue to invite kids into what could be an eternity changing experience for them.

As always, continue to pray for opportunities to expand Young Life’s impact into new communities and schools all over Kentucky – for the Lord to raise up adults who love Jesus and care about kids, committee members, donors, and volunteers to reach more kids in more places!
