What God is doing...
Praise: the prison doors are reopened—somewhat. The Department of Corrections has loosened some restrictions so we now have two TUMI classes going on in the Chester prison. The DOC protocol is troublesome to work around, but it can be done. Pray for the men and their serious follow-through of assignments and finishing their current courses strongly. Earl Wright, TUMI-Chester Coordinator is teaching these.
Please pray...
We have one other course being taught on-line. Pray for the eight students taking this course and the teacher.
TUMI national has developed new software for the on-line teaching process and it is not working smoothly. Pray that it won’t hinder the teaching. Dr. Dick Taylor, former pastor, is teaching this.
I (Rick Horne) have one more upcoming teaching assignment with
the TUMI-CCEF counseling course this year—Santiago, Chile, September 24-October 2. This is with Seminario Reformado,
Latinamericano (SRL).I am about half-way finished with the video script for our third of three counseling introductory courses. This has been very slow going—not because of time, but because this course involves the merging and summarizing of the content of five or six excellent counselors—some are linear thinkers and some are not. But the material is rich! Pray that I am able to grasp the core concepts and relate them meaningfully and simply for our students in the video and then in the manual that will accompany it.
