Responsibilities
- Lead weekly Sunday night programming, demonstrating a winsome ability to teach Biblical truth to High School Students.
- Develop a fun and welcoming culture in the ministry that students inside and outside of the church want to be a part of.
- Identify, recruit, and train a volunteer team that effectively cares for and disciples students.
- Plan and execute special events, retreats, and summer camp
- Collaborate regularly with other GFC Student Ministry Staff, assuring all campuses are in alignment with one another, holding similar mission and values.
- Meet with parents, leaders, and students regularly in order to shepherd them and model relational ministry.
- Be a part of the life of the church – participating in Sunday morning worship, participation in community group, etc.
Qualifications/Expectations
- Have a sound knowledge of Scripture and be in agreement with the doctrinal position of Grace Fellowship Church.
- High School Ministry experience, preferably on staff.
- Excellent communication skills and engaging personality that draws people toward participation in the ministry.
- Become a GFC member immediately and operate in agreement with ministry leadership direction of GFC.
- Be an active participant in the Community Group ministry.
- ACBC Certified within five years of hire date.
- Must be a team player able to work on teams of various sizes, including campus staff, cross-campus Student Ministry staff, operations staff, part-time interns, and volunteers.
- Must be a self-starter, operating without close supervision; exhibiting initiative to take proactive steps to improve ministry function, and measure and report on progress.
- Ability to lead meetings, plan, strategize, organize, and effectively delegate projects, events, and programs that are completed with excellence.
- Spend time with students and volunteers beyond church events, going to school events, meals, celebrations, etc.
Character
- Be a stable, mature, and growing Christian, demonstrating a continual transforming character toward Christlikeness, with an exemplary personal, marital, and family life.
- Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit identified in Gal. 5:22-23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control.
- When working with others you would be known as a peacemaker (Matt. 5:9.)
- Do all work abiding in Christ (John 15:5), remembering all our guidance, provision, capability and strength come from Christ.
- Humility in considering others more important (Phil. 2:1-4ff).
Wages, Benefits, and Miscellaneous
- Salary will be commensurate with responsibilities and experience.

- This position reports to the Florence Campus Pastor.
