Director of Communications

Job Overview

The Director of Communications is responsible for helping the elders & ministry leaders create understanding through clear and engaging communication for the congregation of Grace Fellowship Church.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Strategic, creative, proactive leadership to help the elders, staff, and ministries communicate effectively to the congregation.
  2. Oversee the creation of videos, graphics, posts, emails, and other content that will help create understanding between the elders/ministry leaders and the congregation.
  3. Development, improvement, and management of weekly communication tasks.
  4. Manage and improve the CCB Event Promotion process.
  5. Help staff and ministries think through and develop effective communication plans.
  6. Understand and work with the different needs of the various campuses, campus pastors, and ministries.
  7. Develop and manage vendor relationships and volunteers related to communications.

  • Churchwide leadership and resource for all communication needs
  • Electronic Communications (videos, social media platforms, video platforms, emails)
  • Graphics
  • Promotion of events
  • Graceky.org website
  • Print media (flyers, bulletins, cards)
  • Branding, logo, etc.
  • Communications Budget
  • Major signage
  • Sunday Announcement coordination/Production Calendar

Qualifications

  1. Give testimony and life witness of being a committed believer in Jesus Christ.
  2. Excited to help GFC carry out its mission.
  3. Previous experience in content creation, graphic design, video production, creative direction, or communications.
  4. Previous experience working in a team environment.
  5. Current member of Grace Fellowship Church or willing to become a member if hired.

  • Able to plan, strategize, organize, and effectively delegate so projects, events, and programs are completed with excellence.
  • Able to provide clear direction to outside contractors.
  • Able to assess needed job tasks, i.e., be a self-starter, define the work that needs to be done, and complete it without close supervision.
  • An eye and ear for high-quality graphics and video.
  • Knowledge and experience with various types of video equipment, operation, and production.
  • Able to learn new technologies easily.
  • Troubleshooting and brainstorming.
  • Attention to detail.

Wages, Benefits, and Miscellaneous

  1. Salary will be commensurate with responsibilities and experience.
  2. Includes GFC full-time benefits package (paid holidays and vacation, professional expense account, medical/dental insurance, 403(b) w/ employer match, and more.
  3. This position is part of the Central Operations Team and will report to the Operations Pastor.
