I grew up in Somerset, KY. I was raised in a wonderful Christian home with my parents and 5 younger siblings. I am thankful we were brought up to love the Lord and each other.
I was raised in the church. My parents were actively involved and taught me about Christ’s forgiveness and love for me. Around the age of 10, I felt a huge tug on my heart to accept Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord. My parents, along with my pastor, had conversations with me about salvation and the commitment I was making to Christ. I accepted Christ as my Savior and Lord at the foot of my parents’ bed one night after one of our conversations. One Sunday soon after, I walked forward in front of the church to let my church family know of my life-changing decision. I was baptized soon after this time as well.
I met my husband, Jerad, at our previous church in Somerset. We were searching for a new church and came across GFC. We immediately felt at home after our first service here. I began working at Grace in August of 2018. One thing I enjoy about serving here are the wonderful GraceKids volunteers! They are so devoted to teaching our children about God!
A significant time for Jerad and I was when we experienced our miscarriage in 2015. God definitely brought us through that time. I learned God had a purpose for what happened even though I couldn’t understand. In my need, I learned how to truly lean on Him. We were later blessed with our son, Landen, in 2017!
For fun, I love to read, play the piano, and pretty much do any activity with my husband and son!
Hope for GFC
I pray that we continue to reach people for Christ!
